Exercise is Medicine on Campus Month

Welcome to Exercise is Medicine - Reaching Out Rising Higher May 2026
A special celebration that perfectly aligns with our 115th anniversary and the inspiring theme “Reaching Out, Rising Higher” which is the guiding spirit of HKU’s 115th anniversary. It reflects our century-long legacy of connecting diverse communities, extending our impact beyond campus boundaries, and continually striving for greater heights in knowledge, innovation, and service to society.
This year’s EIM Month is intentionally designed around the same powerful meaning. Through a series of carefully curated workshops, we invite everyone — students, staff, alumni, and the wider community — to reach out by opening the body and mind through stretching, mobility, and mindful movement, creating space for deeper connections (to ourselves, to others, and to our shared well-being).
At the same time, we rise higher through dynamic, energizing sessions that build strength, endurance, power, and joy — pushing personal limits and elevating our collective health. Exercise is Medicine is more than a programme; it is a movement that views physical activity as a vital part of health care. Join us this May. Let’s move together, connect deeply, and elevate boldly — Reaching Out, Rising Higher — as we celebrate 115 years of HKU excellence and look forward to the next chapter.
